Career Development Workshop at University of Sindh Jamshoro
The Faculty of Engineering and Technology at the University of Sindh recently hosted a dynamic workshop titled “Career Development in the Era of Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies” in partnership with Ideagest. This collaborative effort aimed to provide students with valuable insights into navigating the evolving landscape of technology-driven careers.
Drawing an enthusiastic crowd of over 200 students and educators, the workshop was a platform for engaging discussions and expert insights. Dean of the Faculty, Professor Dr. Lachman Das Dhumija, shed light on crucial aspects of career counseling, market trends, and the impact of emerging technologies like artificial intelligence on future job prospects.

Hasan Syed, CEO of Ideologist, underscored the pivotal role of soft skills, entrepreneurship, and innovative thinking in meeting the demands of the rapidly evolving technological landscape. He encouraged students to cultivate these attributes to thrive in the competitive industry.
Shahzana, Operational Manager of the National Incubation Center Hyderabad, shared valuable insights into the vital role of start-ups in driving economic development. She urged students to explore entrepreneurship opportunities and consider leveraging the resources available at the National Incubation Center to kick-start their ventures.
Professor Dr. Arifa Bhutto, Focal Person for the Technology Incubation Center, emphasized the workshop’s significance in honing students’ capabilities and fostering critical problem-solving skills essential for success in the industry. She also stressed the crucial role of educators in equipping students with the latest tools and knowledge to tackle economic challenges effectively.
