SSP Jamshoro Muhammad Tariq Nawaz confirmed the devastating toll, citing eight fatalities and revealing that 20 injured individuals had been promptly transported to a nearby hospital in Manjhand for urgent medical attention.

Preliminary investigations by the authorities suggest that the accident was a result of reckless overtaking. However, further inquiries into the incident are currently underway to ascertain the exact cause.

This tragic event follows another fatal accident that occurred on April 14, where four individuals lost their lives and 20 others were injured in a collision between a passenger coach and a coaster on the M9 Motorway near Nooriabad in the Jamshoro district. The coaster was ferrying a wedding party from Karachi to Nawan Jatoi village in Kambar-Shahdadkot district.

Among the deceased were identified as Ali Jan Magsi, Ghulam Shabbir Chandio, 8-year-old Sadia Magsi, and an unidentified woman, highlighting the profound impact of such accidents on families and communities.
